Statement Of Faith

We, the members of Christian Living Ministries, affirm the following foundational truths rooted in the Holy Scriptures and revealed by the Holy Spirit: The Holy Scriptures We believe that the Bible, both Old and New Testaments, is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. It is the final standard for all matters of faith, doctrine, and conduct. (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21)
The Trinity

We believe in one true and living God, eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son (Jesus Christ), and God the Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal, co-eternal, and one in essence, power, and glory. (Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14)

We believe in God the Father, the Creator of heaven and earth, who is loving, holy, righteous, and just. He is sovereign over all things and works all things according to the counsel of His will. (Genesis 1:1; Ephesians 1:3-6)

We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, atoning death on the cross, bodily resurrection, ascension into heaven, and His soon return in power and glory. He is the only Mediator between God and man. (John 1:1-14; Philippians 2:5-11; Hebrews 1:1-4)

We believe that salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone. It is not earned by works but is a gift from God, made possible by Christ’s substitutionary death and resurrection. Those who believe and confess Jesus as Lord are justified, regenerated, and adopted as children of God. (Ephesians 2:8-9; Romans 10:9-10; John 3:16)

We believe in the person and work of the Holy Spirit, who convicts the world of sin, regenerates the believer, and empowers the Church for holy living and effective witness. He bestows spiritual gifts for the building up of the Body of Christ. (John 14:16-17; Acts 1:8; 1 Corinthians 12:4-11)

We believe that God continues to work in miraculous ways through the Holy Spirit. The gifts of healing, speaking in tongues, interpretation of tongues, prophecy, and other signs and wonders are still active and available today for the edification of the Church and the glory of God. (1 Corinthians 12:7-11; Mark 16:17-18; James 5:14-15)

We believe that sanctification is a lifelong process of growth in grace, holiness, and obedience to God’s Word through the power of the Holy Spirit. Believers are called to separate themselves from sin and be conformed to the image of Christ. (Romans 12:1-2; 1 Thessalonians 4:3-7; Galatians 5:22-23)

We believe in the personal, visible, and imminent return of Jesus Christ. He will return to judge the living and the dead, gather His Church, and establish His eternal kingdom. This is the blessed hope of all believers. (Acts 1:11; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17; Revelation 19:11-16)

We believe in the bodily resurrection of all people: the saved to eternal life and joy in the presence of God, and the lost to eternal separation and judgment in hell. (John 5:28-29; Revelation 20:11-15; Matthew 25:46)

We believe that the Church is the Body of Christ, composed of all born-again believers, and exists to glorify God through worship, fellowship, discipleship, evangelism, and service. Christ is the Head of the Church, and every believer is called to active participation in the local body. (Ephesians 4:11-16; Colossians 1:18; Matthew 28:18-20)

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ instituted two ordinances for the Church:

An outward expression of inward faith and obedience, symbolizing the believer’s identification with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection.

A sacred memorial of Christ’s atoning death and a celebration of His promised return.
(Matthew 28:19; Romans 6:3-4; 1 Corinthians 11:23-26)

We believe that every believer is commissioned to share the gospel and make disciples of all nations, fulfilling Christ’s command to preach the good news and serve in love and compassion. (Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 1:8; Romans 10:14-15)

We joyfully affirm these truths and commit ourselves to live in accordance with the teachings of Jesus Christ, empowered by the Holy Spirit, until He comes again in glory.
